Write a blog entry.

  1. Click on “Write” to post a story to the blog.
  2. Enter your text in the “title” and “post” fields.
  3. Choose the appropriate category (or categories) from the right-hand site of the screen.
  4. Click “publish” to post it to the blog immediately, OR
    • “save as draft” for something you want to come back and finish later, OR
    • “save as private” for something only you will be able to see.

Enable quick blogging.

  1. Click “Write” at the top of the screen.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen (below where you’d write a blog post) and drag the “Press It – Online Deliberation 2005” bookmarklet to your browser’s link bar (just below the address bar).
  3. Click on the “Press It” link anytime you want to post to the blog.

Customize your user settings.

  1. Click on “Users” at the top of the screen to go to your profile.
  2. Change your password to something you can remember easily.
  3. Change your nickname (if you want) to whatever you would like to appear as the author for each entry you post to the blog. Nicknames have to be one word only.

View the latest posts on the blog by clicking on “View Site” (at the top of this window) anytime.
