Alexandra is a Ph.D. candidate in political science in the Department of Government, part of Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Harvard is home to many centers of innovative thinking on the political impact of the Internet. The Kennedy School of Government houses the Harvard Information Infrastructure Project, which focuses on the political implications of the Internet. The Berkman Center at Harvard Law School conducts research on Internet law, and sponsors the “Internet and Society” conference.

Alexandra's dissertation committee is chaired by Sidney Verba, who is an expert on political participation and the cyber-savvy director of Harvard's University Libary. Her other committee members are Richard Johnston, chair of the Department of Political Science at the University of British Columbia; and Torben Iversen of Harvard's Center for European Studies.
