I have come across blogging to think of it as an artistic endeavor.
Truthfully I have thought of approaching various people with the intent of creating a story or garnering info for my blog and calling my self a journalist.
It would not have been untrue at all but in the end for whatever reason I simply never did it. So now I just think of my self as an artful blogger.
Blogging itself is an art form I think even though not everyone calls it that or views it that way. It certainly is not what most people think of as "journalism" anyway.
There are probably about as many "types" of blogs, and I don't mean mere templates, as there are genres of art.
Some people use blogging and blogging templates to document the backdrop to their lives and showcase it to friends/visitors/curious types etc so thats hardly "journalism".
I see my self as one day either owning and/or designing a browser thats strictly compatible for modern blogging. Perhaps you could help?

Something you might take a closer look at is CONCEPTUAL ART. If you wanna create a 'link' to art, please - go with this one. Born in the late 60ies, in conceptual art the idea or concept is the most important aspect of the work (Sol LeWitt). I recommend the book "Six Years: The Dematerialization of the Art Object (1973)" by Lucy R. Lippard.
