On the one hand, it has blogging and community fundamentally entwined, it spits out RSS for everything, it does categories and tags, it aggregates content from anywhere, and so on. On the other hand, it's a hosted service, and more than anything else, it's tightly focused on maintaining small communities of interest, with an emphasis on spotlighting individual voices within the group. Also on the negative front, there's the shabby informational pages and utter lack of documentation. :D We're working on those bits, though... a full user manual is currently in the works, and I'll be doing a happy dance when it's done. Once it became clear I would never write it myself, it was time to farm the job out to someone who would. ::…but would love to hear from more.
