::...but would love to hear from more.

I dunno if JournURL applies or not. On the one hand, it has blogging and community fundamentally entwined, it spits out RSS for everything, it does categories and tags, it aggregates content from anywhere, and so on. On the other hand, it's a hosted service, and more than anything else, it's tightly focused on maintaining small communities of interest, with an emphasis on spotlighting individual voices within the group.

Also on the negative front, there's the shabby informational pages and utter lack of documentation. :D We're working on those bits, though... a full user manual is currently in the works, and I'll be doing a happy dance when it's done. Once it became clear I would never write it myself, it was time to farm the job out to someone who would.

Congrats on the choice Alex! I have to say, I think you made the right choice, but I'm biased ;) I think the document you've published here is great, and should be helpful to the hundreds (thousands?) of others who are faced with similar decisions. Thank you for making it public!

Also - I'm glad to see Mark "in the fold" - I know mark from Toronto (though it's been *years*) - I'll have to drop him a line when I get home.
